BBC Production Talent Pool – apply 6-19 Feb 2012
A big thanks to Kate Hoyland of the BBC for giving a couple of lunchtime talks today (Fri 27 Jan) to students at the University of Manchester. Kate introduced us to the new Production Talent Pool www.bbc.co.uk/ptp This is definitely worth applying for if you’re passionate about a career in the media, are in your final year or have already graduated. You’ll have to be quick though as applications need to be made 6-19th February 2012. As part of the Pool you will be eligible for paid, entry level work in an exciting and challenging environment. The Production Talent Pool Roles are for ‘Runners’ and Production Managment Assistants (TV and Radio) and there are 100 jobs around the country in Manchester, London, Cardiff, Bristol and Glasgow.
From this year, only those who successfuly apply for the Production Talent Pool will have the chance to apply for the BBC’s Production Trainee Scheme – an 18 month traineeship (last year, you would have applied directly to it). Read up on all of this on the Production Talent Pool site www.bbc.co.uk/ptp
Kate’s talk has been videoed and will soon be available on the careers service website http://www.careers.manchester.ac.uk/students/options/sectors/media/
